When investing in a furnace, the energy use and metal loss make up more than 95% of the total cost over the life of the unit. For this reason, our developers are constantly working on new efficiency technologies. Lower energy consumption.

The operation of our melting, holding and dosing furnaces is realized in the PurEfficiency® line  with significantly reduced energy use. In the benchmark test under real conditions, an energy consumption of 525 kWh/T Al in the new StrikoMelter® MH II-T3000/1500 PurEfficiency® double-chamber melting and holding furnace was measured.

Using high-performance insulation materials and a simulation-optimised design with PurEfficiency®, it was possible to achieve a very uniform wall construction that reduced the offset areas and heat bridges to a minimum. This way the heat stays where it belongs: inside the furnace.
In order to achieve sustainability and conserve resources, the entire life cycle of a furnace must be taken into consideration. Therefore, the furnace lining has been completely reworked, with critical improvements in areas of high mechanical stress. This is noticeable not only in operating costs but also in the significantly longer lifetimes and lower repair costs.
