Zero-maintenance record earns StrikoWestofen furnaces
Quality Excellence Award from Chongqing Millison
Industrial Furnace solutions specialist StrikoWestofen has received a Quality Excellence Award from long-standing customer Chongqing Millison, recognizing outstanding equipment performance, reliability and lifecycle value across multiple sites.

Chongqing Millison produces lightweight aluminum alloy components, primarily supplying the automotive sector with high-pressure die-cast parts. The company operates multiple production facilities across China and works with leading OEMs around the world.
The award was presented at Chongqing Millison’s recent Key Supplier Conference, where just 26 companies were honored from a global supplier base of approximately 1,800 organizations.
An ongoing partnership based on proven performance
The award reflects a partnership that has developed over nearly a decade.
The relationship began in 2016, when Chongqing Millison installed StrikoMelter melting furnaces at its headquarters facility. As Millison expanded operations, further investments followed, including additional StrikoMelter systems at its Xiangyang and Chongqing sites, as well as Westomat dosing furnaces at its Anhui facility in 2024.
Today, StrikoWestofen furnaces are deployed across multiple Millison plants, supporting high-efficiency aluminum melting and dosing processes, including in-cell melting applications ideal for casting processes tailored to the production of larger castings common to electric vehicles.
— Nanzhou Zhang from StrikoWestofen commented.“Receiving this recognition from Chongqing Millison is a strong endorsement of our technology and long-term approach to customer partnerships. Reliability is critical in foundry operations, and achieving zero maintenance downtime over such a sustained period demonstrates the robustness of our systems and the value they deliver in real-world production environments.”
The continued collaboration between the two companies reflects a shared focus on operational excellence, efficiency, and long-term performance - principles that are becoming increasingly important as foundries look to optimize productivity while controlling cost and quality.
Zero maintenance downtime, maximum productivity
Crucially, the award was based on rigorous performance criteria, including equipment service life, spare parts quality, lifecycle cost, and operational reliability. Across these metrics, StrikoWestofen systems have delivered exceptional results.
At Millison, StrikoWestofen equipment has achieved service life exceeding nine years, with a standout benchmark of zero maintenance downtime within the first five years of operation.
This level of performance has enabled Millison to maintain stable, high-efficiency production while minimizing operational risk and maintenance overhead - key priorities for modern foundry operations facing increasing cost pressures and demand for consistency.
